Spider Mites on Jade Plant

Hi, I’m a horticultural consultant and in this post want to show you how to get rid of spider mites on your Jade plant at home. I found out the following remedy can work well:

  •  ➡ First, isolate the infested plant from others.
  •  ➡ Then, wash your plant completely under a mid-pressure running water. It would be good If you could remove it from its pot before washing and then repot it in new soil, otherwise, cover its potting soil with a Nailon bag and then wash it.
  •  ➡ Although you succeed in removing a huge population of mites, some are still on your pot and will propagate soon to infest all over your plant, hence you must spray the top and bottom of the leaves every two days with an Insecticidal Soap or the following recipe:

(((Add Alcohol (1 cup) and a few drops of dish soap to one litre of water and mix them completely.)))

Spider Mites are tiny in size. They are often less than 1/50 inch long.  They can vary in colour from green, yellow, or orange-red, to dark brown. However, you can detect them easily by Webbing; They often produce fine silk webbing on the undersides of leaves. you may spot yellow or white spots on the damaged leaves, and in severe infestations, leaves may turn yellow or brown and drop.
